Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards of a value less than 10 are give a value of their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely depict the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be given out depending on the following standards:
- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, the two players stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure to have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays 8 to one but occasionally 9 to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try laying money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are generously better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)
Played smartly, baccarat presents pretty good odds, away from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of last results on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-6 method. This tactic is used to magnify successes and controlling risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
