Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be worth face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely represent the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five has a value of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay eight to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Still, odds are richly better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

When done accurately, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is surely not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of old conclusions on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and probably most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six concept. This technique is employed to boost profits and cutting back risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
