Baccarat Chemin de Fer Policies

Punto banco is enjoyed with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the 2 cards, however the 1st number is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (five plus six equals 11; ignore the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or bank gets a value of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stands, the bank takes a card on a total less than five. If the gambler hits, a guide is employed to determine if the banker stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The bigger of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19:20 (equal cash less a 5% commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you quit the table so make sure you still have cash around just before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pay one to one. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every 10 rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Played properly baccarat chemin de fer gives relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games punto banco has a handful of established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events yet to happen. Tracking past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.

The most familiar and possibly the most accomplished course of action is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This tactic is used to build up winnings and limit losses.

Start by placing 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a grand total of 3 units on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you succeed on the third bet, deposit two on the 4 on the game table for a sum total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial round, you take a loss of one. A win on the first wager followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a defeat on the 3rd provides you with a gain of two. And wins on the initial three with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all four wagers gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you can not win on the 2nd round 5 times for every favorable run of four bets and still experience no loss.
