Baccarat Banque Policies
Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the cards, however the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (five plus six = eleven; ignore the first ‘1′).
A third card may be dealt using the following rules:
- If the gambler or house has a value of eight or nine, both players stay.
- If the gambler has less than 5, he hits. Players stays otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on a value less than 5. If the gambler hits, a guide is employed to see if the banker stands or takes a card.
Punto Banco Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission are recorded and paid off when you leave the table so be sure to still have funds remaining just before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning bets for a tie usually pay eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a awful wager as ties happen less than one in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. 8:1)
Wagered on properly baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Punto Banco Strategy
As with all games punto banco has some familiar false impressions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.
The most familiar and possibly the most successful strategy is the one, three, two, six technique. This plan is deployed to build up earnings and minimizing losses.
Start by placing one unit. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the table for a grand total of 3 dollars on the second bet. If you win you will now have six on the table, subtract 4 so you keep 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, deposit two on the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.
Should you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st round followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a hit on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you will be able to lose the second wager five times for each favorable streak of 4 bets and still balance the books.
