Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are give a value of their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely portray the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven as well as five has a value of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are especially better – 9 to one versus eight to one)

When played smartly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future events. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-three-2-6 technique. This method is used to accentuate profits and controlling risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
