Baccarat Policies

Punto banco is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are counted at their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (five plus six equals eleven; dump the initial ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker gets a total of 8 or 9, the two players stay.

- If the gambler has less than 5, she takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the player holds, the house hits on 5 or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is employed to decide if the bank holds or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (equal cash minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you quit the table so make sure you still have money remaining before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. 8:1)

Bet on properly baccarat offers generally decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a handful of common misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most acknowledged plan is the one-three-two-six technique. This tactic is used to build up earnings and limit losses.

Begin by wagering one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you keep 2 on the third wager. Should you succeed on the third wager, put down 2 on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st round, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Success on the first two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a take of two. And success on the first 3 with a hit on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning all four rounds gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can give up the 2nd wager five times for every favorable run of four bets and in the end, break even.
