Punto Banco Regulations
Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the total of the two cards, although the beginning digit is ignored. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 equals 11; drop the first ‘one’).
A 3rd card may be dealt based on the following rules:
- If the gambler or house achieves a total of 8 or nine, both players stay.
- If the gambler has less than 5, he hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler holds, the banker hits on 5 or less. If the player hits, a table is used to decide if the banker stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie frequently pay eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than one in every ten rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus eight to one)
Played properly baccarat gives relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Punto Banco Course of Action
As with all games Baccarat has some accepted myths. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of future events. Tracking previous results on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly the most acknowledged strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This technique is deployed to maximize profits and minimizing losses.
Begin by betting 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will have 6 on the table, pull off four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd bet. Should you come away with a win on the third round, put down 2 on the four on the game table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a hit on the third gives you with a take of two. And wins on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you are able to lose the 2nd wager five instances for every favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, are even.
