Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards of a value less than ten are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they merely symbolize the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven … five will have a score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie usually pay eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try laying money on a tie. Nonetheless odds are far better – nine to one versus eight to one)

When played correctly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually a predictor of future outcomes. Keeping track of old conclusions on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-6 concept. This plan is deployed to maximize profits and minimizing risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
