Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are give a value of their printed number and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly act as the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 results in a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a tally of eight or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are considerably better – 9 to one versus eight to one)

When played accurately, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-2-six concept. This scheme is used to boost successes and limiting risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
