Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than 10 are said to be at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just depict the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 will have a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are especially better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played smartly, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of last conclusions on a chart is simply a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and probably most successful method is the one-3-two-6 scheme. This method is deployed to accentuate payouts and limiting risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
