Baccarat Banque Rules and Plan

Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are valued at their printed value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. e.g., a hand of five and six has a score of 1 (5 plus 6 = eleven; drop the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a total of 8 or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler stays, the house takes a card on five or less. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to determine if the house stands or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The higher of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the house pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money minus a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you depart the table so make sure you have money remaining just before you quit). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays 8 to 1 but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Played properly baccarat offers generally good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of accepted misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous results on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.

The most familiar and likely the most accomplished strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This method is employed to build up winnings and limit risk.

Begin by wagering one chip. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you are left with 2 on the third bet. If you win the third bet, put down two to the 4 on the game table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a loss on the second causes a hit of two. Success on the first 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the 1st 3 with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Winning at all four wagers gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can give up the 2nd bet 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 bets and in the end, balance the books.
