Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … 5 results in a value of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the foll. protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are remarkably better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an indicator of future actions. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful technique is the one-3-2-six method. This process is employed to maximize profits and minimizing risk.

commence by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
