Punto Banco Rules
Baccarat is played with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, although the first number is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and 6 has a score of one (5 plus six equals 11; drop the initial ‘one’).
A third card might be given out depending on the rules below:
- If the player or house achieves a total of 8 or 9, both players hold.
- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players stands otherwise.
- If the player holds, the house hits on a total lower than five. If the player takes a card, a table is employed to decide if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19:20 (even money less a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and paid off once you leave the table so ensure you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie usually pays eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a awful wager as ties happen less than one in every ten hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)
Gambled on properly baccarat banque provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Scheme
As with all games baccarat banque has a few established myths. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future outcomes. Tracking previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and almost certainly the most favorable strategy is the one, three, two, six plan. This technique is employed to build up profits and minimizing risk.
Begin by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a grand total of three units on the second bet. If you win you will now have six on the game table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. Should you win the 3rd wager, put down two on the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.
Should you lose on the initial round, you take a loss of one. A win on the initial wager followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Success on the 1st two with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a gain of two. And success on the 1st 3 with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four bets leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you will be able to give up the second wager 5 instances for each successful streak of four rounds and still are even.
