Punto Banco Principles

Baccarat is enjoyed with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, however the beginning number is discarded. e.g., a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus six = 11; ditch the initial ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given using the following rules:

- If the player or house achieves a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stands, the bank hits on 5 or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to determine if the house stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The higher of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19:20 (even payout minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you quit the table so make sure you still have money remaining before you depart). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pays eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Avoid putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Wagered on properly baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Keeping score of previous results on a sheet of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.

The most accepted and probably the most acknowledged method is the one-three-two-six method. This tactic is used to maximize earnings and limit risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the table, pull off four so you keep two on the 3rd bet. Should you come away with a win on the third wager, add 2 on the four on the game table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the initial round, you take a loss of one. A profit on the initial round followed by a hit on the second brings about a loss of 2. Success on the initial 2 with a loss on the third gives you with a gain of two. And success on the initial three with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning at all 4 wagers gives you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you will be able to lose the second bet 5 times for every successful run of four rounds and still balance the books.
