Baccarat Policies

Baccarat banque is wagered on with eight decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed number and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the beginning digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (5 plus 6 = 11; ignore the initial ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or bank achieves a value of 8 or 9, the two players stay.

- If the player has five or lower, she hits. Players stands otherwise.

- If the player stays, the banker takes a card on a value lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the bank holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the banker payout nineteen to Twenty (equal cash minus a 5% rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you depart the table so make sure you still have funds left over just before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie typically pay 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor bet as ties occur less than one in every ten rounds. Avoid betting on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Wagered on correctly baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games baccarat banque has a few general myths. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of events about to happen. Recording past outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly the most successful method is the one-three-two-six method. This plan is used to maximize profits and minimizing losses.

Start by placing one dollar. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a sum total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have six on the game table, take away 4 so you keep two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd round, add 2 to the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial wager followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a hit of two. Success on the initial two with a loss on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Succeeding at all four bets leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you can give up the second bet 5 times for each successful streak of 4 bets and in the end, experience no loss.
