Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely depict the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 will have a total score of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie by and large pay out eight to one but sometimes 9 to one. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

Played smartly, baccarat offers generally good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Staying abreast of historic results on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-six method. This scheme is deployed to boost profits and limiting risk.

start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
