Baccarat Regulations
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards below a value of ten are said to be at their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they merely act as the two hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five results in a total score of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card can be given depending on the foll. regulations:
- If the bettor or banker has a total of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.
- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pay 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)
Played correctly, baccarat presents relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Monitoring of prior results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and feasibly most successful method is the one-3-two-6 technique. This tactic is deployed to maximize wins and limiting risk.
Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th bet.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
