Baccarat Chemin de Fer Policies
Baccarat is wagered on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the first number is discarded. For example, a hand of five and six has a score of one (5 plus six equals eleven; ditch the first ‘one’).
A third card will be dealt based on the rules below:
- If the gambler or house has a value of eight or nine, both players stand.
- If the player has less than 5, he takes a card. Players otherwise stand.
- If the gambler stands, the house hits on a value less than 5. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to decide if the banker stays or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The bigger of the 2 hands wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19:20 (equal cash minus a five percent rake. Commission are kept track of and cleared out once you leave the game so be sure to still have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pays one to one. Winning wagers for tie normally pay eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur lower than one in every 10 hands. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)
Bet on correctly baccarat offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Punto Banco Strategy
As with all games punto banco has some common myths. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous results at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and possibly the most acknowledged plan is the one, three, two, six technique. This method is deployed to maximize profits and limit losses.
Start by betting one dollar. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the game table, remove four so you are left with two on the third bet. If you succeed on the third wager, deposit two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.
Should you do not win on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the initial two with a loss on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you are even. Winning all 4 bets gives you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd wager five instances for every favorable run of 4 bets and still are even.
