Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are said to be worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven and five results in a total score of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, each bettors stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie commonly pays eight to one and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a terrible gamble as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. be wary of laying money on a tie. Still, odds are significantly better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

Played effectively, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of old results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This tactic is employed to build up payouts and cutting back risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
